The undisputed king of the jam, Joe Juliano, better known as the jam master has finally released his first long awaited CD.
Joe Juliano serves up a hot blend of rhythm and blues with a couple of lumps of sweet soul and plenty of caffeine to get you up and into the groove. When I first heard this CD I had to go to the fridge and put something into my cup and turn on the blue lights. Joe has poured some hot local players into his percolator to make this first cup real hot. Along with Joe's own group, Craig Gallas, Marcos Romero, Leon McCormick, Toby Marshall and Merlin Brunkow, there's "Sweet Fingers" Andy Bailey tickling the ivory on my favorite cut, Bad Feelings, and a fun tune, Bill Bobarooneys. This project was a real family affair along with Gerry Francis, John Derick, Michael Pendergast, Dave Wegert and a hot horn section: Nike Nelson, Kevin Nord, Tome Zozel and Schroder. What impressed me most about this recording was that live fun nightclub feeling that most can't capture on a CD and only Joe can take you there. So pick up a cup and join the party, you won't be disappointed.
